On July 18, 2023 we received notification from our mortgages company Homestar that our loan was being transferred to a new service provider.By law they are to give us 60 days notice of the transfer of our loan. They have us less than 2 weeks. Our loan payment is due today and Homestar has refused to accept our payment. If purchasing a new construction use your attorney not the lender preferred. This lender was given two property tax figured one an estimate on what the property was with no structure built on it the second a figure with the home built and completed. This lender originally has it set with the tax rate with a house on it which is accurate then changed it to be land value only which was about $2600 this caused our escrow account to be short funded by that amount. Worst business to deal with they never return call or emails they tell u a closing date then do all things possible not to continue a contract. I was discriminated against because I was going to go with another lender but changed my mind now HOMESTAR wont bother answering me in any way shape or from they have poor businessman-ship beware if u deal with them they will lie to u

I believe this business is the absolute best. They enjoy what they do and they pass this on to their customers. They are quick to respond to phone calls, text and emails and they never made me feel rushed when I would have several questions to ask.
