On May 10th, 2022 ***** came to our house to look at our AC. He replaced the dual capacitor and charged 3 lbs of freon. He said there was a slight leak but that it should last through the end of the year. Before leaving he went down to look at the furnace and stated to my wife that he could hear a leak but he charged the freon anyways. Had used their service for dryer vents cleaning along with air duct, furnace and AC cleaning on a property that I rented out to tenants. Was informed about 2% charge for credit card and agreed to pay via check which they wanted right away because it was COD service. I was not told about it and asked if I can get an invoice for their service so that I can mail them a check. Homeplace payment policy is to collect upon completion of the service and we do not bill out invoicing. This individual had us service a rental property and no payment was provided. Upon completion, the technician contacted the owner and said he would only make payment if he was billed. It was explained to him at least 6 times that we do not bill out invoices and he felt we should change our 30 policy just for him. So we had someone from HomePlace Furnace come to our house over a month ago when our furnace went out after a brief cold spell and some rain, the technician checked the furnace and was able to diagnose water coming in from an air vent that was not properly sealed, he noticed where the leak was coming into the PVC pipe and used a bead of silicone to correct this issue then he came to the conclusion that it was a bad ignitor switch which was noticeably corroded and needed to be replaced, nearly a $30 part, he billed us for an ... read more

The comments here are terribly inaccurate. The furnace was found to have many issues and several that were not up to code. The pressure switch only allowed the unit to be turned on again, but does not address the many dangerous issues the Homeplace Master Technician discovered. We presented our findings and the homeowner made the choice they felt best for them. They charged $80 extra to remove the dust in the furnace. They claimed I agreed for them to "tune up" the furnace. The whole point is, I wanted all the dust removed from the vents and ducts (and yes from the furnace, if there is dust there, remove it). My furnace was tuned up last year and was running fine when they entered my home. So with Homeplace logic, you have to buy a tune up to get all the dust removed.Â

This customer called the day after the air duct cleaning service and demanded that the furnace tune-up be free, because he rationalized, the furnace was connected to the air ducts. It was carefully explained that we do not offer a free furnace tune-up and that it was not free the last time we serviced his home. MATT AND SHARON CAME TODAY and did a wonderful job of cleaning the vents, the dryer and dryer vent an furnace pipes. They worked hard and were kind and professonal.Â
On October 5th, I had a scheduled appt. with HomePlace to clean the dryer vent, and furnace vent/ducts in my home. They arrived on time, were very courteous, answered my questions, and they cleaned up after themselves. Please know my ducts had not been cleaned in a very long time. Actually, Homeplace ended up having to remove a few sections of the dryer venting, because of the blockage that had accumulate over the years.
