Quality of a mattress is the most important factor in a good night sleep. Yolanda with the gold teeth working the front counter would not let my wife see a room or touch the mattress. She said this was a policy set by the manager, Scott. I have NEVER had a hotel do this. If you're looking for a place for the night, keep driving! The quality of hospitality is equivalent to the soci-economic conditions of the area.... in other words, this is what you get when you're in the bad side of town.

When I arrived in my room, I opened the toilet seat to find a roach (flushed it), and also saw a baby roach on bathroom sink which snuck in behind the mirror. I was able to change rooms immediately and receive a full refund thanks to the front desk staff, so great customer service. Otherwise this would have been a 0 star review. Everything else was nice overall. Just be aware they may have an infestation.

I recently stayed at Home2 Suites Dallas DeSoto, and while there were some positives, overall the experience was disappointing. The front desk workers were wonderful — very helpful and attentive despite what seemed like a busy situation with rooms not being ready on time. The breakfast was also a highlight, with nice options. We did have to ask for syrup and orange juice, but the staff quickly took care of it. Unfortunately, the room itself fell short.
