Flaky crust – Home Run Inn pizza is an above average pizzeria. Good place for kids and adults.
just like you wish your mom could make. – I still cant find the place without my father's help. Some of my fondest memories are of the 45 minute drive my father would make to get HRI pizza. I don't know what it is about there pizza....and it could be 'just' cheese. And there would still be none left. Talk about cold pizza for breakfast? It never made it to breakfast in my house. No Comparison – I've been to 11 states and never had a better piece of pizza.
no singles,doubles or triples here – I went to home run 40 years ago with my dad and my uncle when it was mainly a bar. It was the greatest pizza I ever ate. I still work in Cicero,Il and pick one up to take home in Worth, and it's the same pizza I ate when I was 16 years old... Thank You, Home Run Inn... !!

TASTIEST IN TOWN – I think Home Run Inn has the tastiest Pizza in town because it smells great in the restaurant, and tastes even better. Their lunch buffet is indescribable, with many pizza varieties, dessert items and salads.
Get Your Passport! – North Siders (like me) think they need a passport to get to the South Side. A shame: the Home Run Inn has great pizza and real South Side prices. And it looks like a pizza joint: not the phony attempts to do so you find in some of the newer place.
the bestest – Home Run Inn is the best pizza in the world nothing else compares to it. Nothing I ever tasted. That is the one thing I miss about Chicago is the Home run Inn pizza. Espicially after I lived down the street from the restuarant itself. My family and I lived on Home Run Inn pizza. I am glad they deliver it across the country because that is one of the things I am going to do is have some sent to Kansas City.
Saucey – Every part of the pizza is a classic - the pleasant bite of the sauce, the golden crust, the flavorful sausage. There is no shortage of any ingredent like some others. My parents used to go on dates at the original store on 31st over 50 years ago and I have been enjoying the pizza all my life.
