They've gotten inconsistant – I've been eating at the HRI since it was a tiny, one room bar in the 60's, and it was the best in town for many years, but they're kind of spotty these days. You can still get a real good one sometimes, but it can also be average at times, especially at the "satellite" locations. If you want the best pizza in Chicago (very similar to the original HRI), go to Villa Rosa Pizza and Resturant on Archer Av. just east of Central near Midway Airport. True Chicago Pizza – Was introduced to Home Run Inn pizza about 35 years ago. They would hire butchers from Jewel to make their own sasuage. They used only the freshes ingredients and still do to this day.

Off the hook!! – Home Run Inn pizza is the best pizza I've ever had! My job requires me to travel around the world, and nothing comes close to Home Run Inn. Even in Chicago, nothing can top it. And the dining facilities are the best. I would recommend Home Run Inn over any pizza shop in the world. And pizza is not the ony thing to eat there!

Real Chicago Pizza – If you want the Real Deal in Chicago Pizza, Home Run is the place. The So-called Chicago Pizza's downtown are Over rated. HRI has the best crust and they make their own sausage. The frozen ones at Jewel are great too. I just wish they would give free refills on the cokes. Get a pitcher!!!!!!!!!!!
Will travel across country for Home Run – This is a great pizza. I can't say enough about it, but maybe this will get my point across. I live in the northwest part of the country and travel across the coast back to Chicago often purschase their pre-heat or frozen pizza and buy it by the case.
