We have been extremely pleased with Honor/Home Instead. Our primary contact with Home Instead, Sharon Reel, was tremendous in patiently answering our questions, helping set up our loved one's personal home care plans, making regular site visits with our family member to check in, and responding quickly to every question we asked from routine to urgent. We went with Home Instead because they have a long history of providing home care in and around Pittsburgh. My family had a great experience with multiple caring caregivers from Home Instead. The caregivers did everything they could to assist our family member to stay at home. We were able to add shifts (even overnights when needed). I highly recommend calling Home Instead if you are searching for home care.

I wish I could give them zero stars. We were abruptly dropped while my father had a hospital stay. We were left abandoned with no care upon his discharge. We were clients for a year and spent tens of thousands of dollars with this company. There were several times that they were unable to cover shifts due to call outs of their staff. We were given no notice (they called the morning of) and had to rely on family and neighbors to help. It should be illegal to put a family and client in this position.
