Met friends that live nearby for brunch when we were in town. Neither couple had been before. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Had the Eggs Benedict with speck and it was the BEST hollandaise sauce I ever had!
RecommendedToday we went to Home 231 to celebrate my 7 years of being a cancer survivor. Our waiter Alex asked why we were there and when I told him our reason, he was incredibly sweet. We had an amazing meal like always and afterwards he gave me a gift box with truffles and a card! This was above and beyond and made us all choke up. Small gestures make big ripples. Home 231 is by far the best restaurant in Harrisburg. Great fresh food, very nice staff. The facility is small and well-kept. The main issue about this place is that there is only one family restroom, and it's not that clean. Great soups and sandwiches are probably the highlight. My husband and I wanted to try a restaurant in the Harrisburg area that we had not been to before. We were celebrating his birthday. I found this restaurant on open table and it received great reviews. We were not disappointed!! The restaurant is small, but our table felt intimate.
