New Twist on affordable Mexican – A great place to go hang out on the patio, have some good drinks and great food. The cheese dip and chips are addictive. Never had anything like them anywhere! The Carne Asada Torta is wonderful and the bread is homeade, crunchy and delicious! The food is not greasy, overcooked or overspiced like some mexican restaurants. Everything tastes freshly made. Love the music! Great mix of everything. We had a neighborhood party there and they handle larges crowds beautifully! I can't say enough goo... read more
Crave is closed for business as of March 2007. – The Scene In burgeoning east Atlanta village, the space that once housed Iris is reborn as a welcoming bistro with blood orange walls, cushioned booths and a bar lounge with a flat-screen TV. Converted garage doors open up to a spacious, breezy patio, where groups like to mingle. Service is generally pleasant, though wait times vary depending on the night. The Food Described as eclectic American cuisine, the menu has hints of Asian flair with such ingredients as ahi tuna and b... read more
Great food and service – Went with a group of 6. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was outstanding! The short ribs were wonderful. Also would recommend the calamari and crab cakes as appetizers.
Booooooooo! What a waste. – This is the perfect spot for a great restaurant. Too bad Crave misses by a mile. Our ribs were very fatty, the tuna was overcooked to the point of nearly being tuna jerky, and there's not enough range in wine prices. Overall, we felt we vastly overpaid for a very poor-quality meal. We will never, ever go back - it's just not worth it. Shoot, the Earl has better food for better prices!
Great Food – I was there last night and enjoyed it very much. We had the braised short ribs with bok choy as a starter...very delicious and tender. We also had the shrimp po' boy and pork bbq sandwich...very good and will go back to try their other items. It was also martini night so we got to try 3 different martinis for $10..a good way to try different drinks at a good price....Nice patio and attentive staff.
Average – It's an interesting concept of comfort food/the things you crave but don't try anything on the menu that is ambitious. My husband and I were disappointed and wished we had stuck with the safer bets. His ribs were almost too fatty to eat and as a result he did not enjoy it. Over all its overpriced for what you get.
Great Addition to East Atlanta! – Had an excellent dinner here on a Saturday night... great food, service and atmosphere. We really enoyed the range of items too - from casual sandwiches to creative, tasy fish and steak dishes. Certainly a 'something for everyone' type of place and could work whether you want a low-key meal or a special night out. All in all, certainly recommended and yet another reason to eat in East Atlanta.
A good place to dine – All around, we liked it. Good food. Good value. Cool scene. Check this place out.
sub par at best – ate at Crave with friends for dinner. My date got the tuna which is typically seared and raw in the middle. But it wasn't the freshest cut. Everybody was disappointed with their meal, except me. I had the pork and it was ok - nothing special. Mine was the closest to yummy" (as posted by 3 people below this - how odd!) but not "yummy" enuff. If Crave spent more time on their dishes then on this site or maybe simplified their menu to a notch above beer-n-burgers i'd probably go back. That may be more their co... read more
