RecommendedI went to the ER with a traumatized knee on a Thursday late morning and was triaged within 30 min, evaluated by the PA and radiographs ordered within the 1st hour and diagnosed and treated with in the next hour. Staff were attentative, caring and eager to provide information and prompt medical care. They provided records and images to allow me to follow up with my family physician upon my return home.
Staff was very friendly, Doctors seemed concerned and confident. I was by myself in the ER and earlier in the evening they had a patient advocate that helped keep me company. First time in 15 years a doctor had an idea of what was going on with my heart. Gave me a little bit of hope that I might be able to get a diagnoses soon.
All I can say if you have have to go to the ER please be sure you get an itemized bill (not sent automatically) and review it caerfully. You might be surprised what you find on it that is incorrect. Don't know if it is done purposely o5 accidentally but it has happened more than once. And they are not easy to deal with.
Having Pulmonary Hypertension and being put on Opsumit means having mandatory lab work that has to be done in order to receive my life saving medications. The blatant disrespect by the out patient receptionists, as well as the lab technicians was disgusting. To treat a patient as though they are less-than, or ignorant about their OWN terminal condition is unacceptable. I've been in the best medical facilities in the US for my condition. This is definitely a joke of a hospital.
I feel holy cross needs to get more staff they over work the drs im sure they could be a better hospital but the people r so rude and you can tell the nurses and doctors are over worked. I was disappointed with their care that i received. I suffer greatly with fibromyalgia and cld barely move but yet bcus they believe everyone is addicted 2 narcotics well im srry but they hv no right to judge everyone. The staff in the er department are great!!! Matter of sitting in waiting room for 4 hours sucked!! I asked if they were short staffed and they said no ... I know you are called in depending on your emergency but really!!! And they were fully staffed last night they said
