Was overcharged for my transmission they said it needed to be rebuilt I do not believe the whole transmission was rebuilt also my speedometer was out and they wanted to charge me $400 for a chip in the computer stating that was the cause of the speedometer being broken Gerald's fixed the speedometer for 75 bucks it was a sensor in the rear
On 10/10/18 an alarm alert appeared on my car. This was during the rain and wind from the hurricane, however, the manager William Spinks had an employee move the car and check it so I could get to an appointment. He refused any payment and everyone was very kind. Being handicapped, I appreciate the service so much and I would contact them for any car problem I have. Thanks to great folks!
AWFUL business. DO NOT GO HERE. The staff will lie to you about what is wrong and over bill you. They over billed be by $690 and didn't fix my problem. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND TERRIBLE PEOPLE.
General manager will lie right to your face about the quality and price of their work. If you have any desire for decent work, go somewhere else. I had my transmission repaired their and they over charged me by $1200 and then refused to fix the tail light they busted out. DISHONEST SERVICE.
Holt did a wonderful job with our warranty claim. I would highly recommend them to anyone. We had our transmission pretty much rebuilt and Jeff did everything he could to make the process go as smoothly as possible. Overall, I left feeling like they really do care about the quality of their work and their customers.
I recently had my transmission repaired through Holt. Not only were they much less in cost than several other places but, they did a great job and no "surprises" afterwards. I would and do refer others to them. Geoff M Summerville, sc
They go way beyond what they need to for people. They are somr of the nicest people I have come across in any business. They have my business for life.
Took in a VW Jetta with 105,000 miles that shifted perfect when cold, then started having hard shifts in the lower 3 speeds after about 10 to 15 minutes of operation. Was told have to take out and disassemble transmission in order to find out what the problem is at a minimum cost of $1,500 and could go up double that or more to rebuild. Got to checking the problem online. Found out the solenoids in the valve body stick. So, my gear shift stopped shifting. A little bit of research on the internet made me think it might be the shifter cable. Since it wouldn't come out of drive, I couldn't start it. I called Holt transmission at 7 am expecting to get voicemail so I could let them know that the trow would be dropping the car off. Instead, John answered and told me to bring it on in.
