My mom took our dog to Hollywood Hounds for the first time because our normal groomer was booked out for a while. When my mom picked him up, he was completely shaved. They shaved his ears all the way down to the skin because i guess it's easier to do that then take the time to actually brush them out the right way. He looked terrible. But the hair cut wasn't what the most upsetting part, after all hair grows back. He hid under the bed and wouldn't eat for a full week after his expirence there. Hi Courtney, I had had a day to investigate this situation and it appears that your mothers dog had its appointment on the 16th of July. Usually if clients have any issues with their pets groom or if the dog appears to be having any health issues after the groom we are contacted within the first few days after that appointment. I have no record of your mother calling us or telling the groomer that she was unsatisfied with her groom. Your groomer had to take the dog shorter because it was matted. After going here for years we will be finding a new place. When I picked up my dog they could not locate his collar. Not a big deal, one worker asked me to try to find a picture on my phone of my dog wearing his collar to show her what it looked like. While looking and trying to locate a picture my dog had an accident and was told to pick him up even though another employee just told me to look for a picture on my phone. Accidents happen all the time and it's not a big deal, we just would have hated for him to step in it while being clean! Had a terrible experience on Saturday. Aside from the unacceptable groom due to them being behind... the owner handled a simple situation in a very poor and unprofessional manner. I understand being busy but what I do not understand is why I was treated with disrespect the second I walked in to pick my dog up. We had the manager Arielle and myself (Kristi the owner) and a bather working on Henry for a total of three hours. Ariel does an amazing job with both of our Labradoodles. This past fall, she found a developing mass on our older guy, that the vet had not even picked up on. Her attention to detail probably saved his life. In the meantime, the dogs don't mind coming for the haircuts (this isn't the case with other groomers) and always prance out looking very dapper!!
I took my Lab, Cricket, in today for a bath, nail trim, tooth brushing and de-shed. I am very pleased with her results. I will be bringing her back whenever she needs your services!! Thanks for such a great job!!
