Worst place ever. I didn't belong there. I was forced there under a lie by a UNC psychiatry member. I wasn't just allowed to be sad about being assaulted. I wasn't allowed to cry. Instead, they held me on a hold for over a week and then threw me in a cop car in handcuffs to that hell hole. It destroyed my life. The staff is the absolute worse. I have more trauma thanks to this horrible place and UNC psychiatry team need to be federally investigated as well. Shut them down. All they do is hurt people for a profit.

Holly Hill...AKA Holly HELL. I was involuntarily committed after an episode I had due to unknowingly having Postpartum Depression. Which is another issue that I plan to raise awareness for later. The strategies this psychiatric hospital uses to “treat” their patients is DISGUSTING. A majority of my fellow patients in my unit were walking around like a zombie in a cloud of depression, mostly from the drugs the staff would push on them. I didn’t take anything other than my thyroid medicine and something OTC to help me sleep at night...because if I hadn’t I wouldn’t have gotten any rest at all. However, the first thing the nurse did was push an anti-anxiety medicine on me due to having a natura...  more>>

This is the first time i have ever had an issue with this place. If my child was not threaten i would recommend this place like i have been. But i will not recommend this place until changes are made not only for my child but for all children. Make sure your staff is there for the kids and not just a job. Make sure your staff love there job. No child should feel scared at Holly Hill because of threats made by a staff member of yours. No parent should not have a stressful day or night worrying about is their child ok because of staff threatening their child. Make sure your front desk people do not just take the phone off the hook at anytime because they do not want to answer the phone. You ha...  more>>

I was there to pick up a patient but she put me on hold too long and didn’t tell me to put in the locker then go into a room . Awful experience . My son who was patient said it’s worst place to stay

This is a list of all the board certified child psych doctors in Raleigh, NC. My child was assigned to a Dr. Childers at the childs hospital north. This man lost his certification in 2012. It is now 2019. Do the math.
I was hoping the terrible reviews and reputation would be wrong, but after 2 days of my child being there, I can say with complete certainty the warnings are true. UNC ER gave me no choice in the matter so I guess that works out great for Holly Hill). Who owns this facility? Why is there not more oversight? These are the questions parents need to be asking. The fact is that this place should not be in business. I have about 15 numbers and not one of them were answered between t

I just want to thank everyone at Holly Hill Hospital for Genuily caring about my well being. There are so many families that suffer in silence whether it be the parents, the grandparents, or their children or childrens children. I just thank ya’ll for allowing me to find myself again and want to have another chance of life when I felt dead inside. I found God and that was the best thing I could’ve ever done in my life. I may have trials and tribulations but I know God will always be my fence . I would recommend any and everyone struggling with mental health and are genuily looking for help to go to Holly Hill. Even when I couldn’t afford all of my Hospital Bills, I found it ironic theirs was...  more>>

What do you have to do to get a loved one out of this place? Being there is not helping, but only making things worse.

I am very disappointed with the staff here at Holly Hill my daughter was taken in for anxiety and they're treating her horribly they are cussing at her , trying to start fights with her she asked the doctor why she wasn't getting her medication and he told her he didn't know why because it was there and when she asked more about it he literally told her you he didn't have time to deal with it and got up and walked away so needless to say she's still not getting her meds which isn't helping matters at all. the staff will not tell her their names they've even gone as far as to turn their badges around so she doesn't know which person is verbally abusing her. You don't treat people that way. An...  more>>
