I worked at the Holiday Snack Bar in the summer of 1967 with four of my friends from Penn State. It was run by Mr. and Mrs. Armitage at the time, and the hamburgers were out of this world. There was a secret sauce . . . However, the wait staff did not get burgers for our meals. Mrs. Armitage cooked us a regular hot dinner with soup and vegetables, because that was what she believed we should eat. It was the best place I've ever worked.
This is a great place for a hamburger. A classic LBI establishment.
Bright, happy place & staff. Simple, delicious fare. Clean & safe enough to send the kids there on their own :) I LOVE pitching up there on a bicycle for an ice cream soda, pea soup & grilled cheese.
A step back in time, great burgers, real milk shakes and homemade desserts. A must have every summer.
It is a must stop in LBI! Best burgers and lady lord cake!!!
