We visited Aug. 19, 3016. Unfortunately we didn't know what time they closed so we only had 20 minutes to walk through, but, it was such a wonderful 20 minutes! Everyone there was so nice, we were the last people of the day but didn't feel like we were being rushed through. The animals are so spoiled and each have their own funny personality, the camel was my best friend following me and rhe mini horse wants the oats now! This is the coolest little spot we ever stumbled on when traveling. A definite treat to get so close to ... read more

For the people who truly enjoy history, I really wish the tour of the house would have been longer than 12 minutes. Would have been nice to absorb more of the history, the antiques, and the vibes we got while there. Reading some of the comments of those with unruly children, and those parents who don't respect rules, now I can see why... Thanks for ruining it for the rest of us! We loved your sense of humor in the gardens, enjoyed the zoo and all of the other exhibits. We are from Idaho, but toured Colorado and Utah on our w... read more

This is not a place to waste your time, which is unfortunate, because of its unique surroundings. The management here is rude and treated my family horrible. We were called ignorant and stupid and asked to leave, for taking a picture of a family member with a cell phone in the gift shop. #sad

Went there about 2 yrs ago and just stopped long enough to get souvenirs and the tour had just started so husband was in a hurry to get to Yellowstone but finally got back to do the tour and visit the Arches. Would love to have a house in the rock I thought is was so interesting. Keep up the good job

We really enjoyed going on the tour yesterday, the house was cool to see and the grounds were full of interesting stuff. We bought the little booklet and read it as we were driving down the road, only to find out that almost everything the tour guide said contradicted what was in the book. She was nice and energetic, but might want to line up what she says to what is in your book.

This Facebook page clearly shows it is not supposed to close until 5 pm . I arrived at 4:20 pm and the gate was already closed. If I'd known they were going to be closed, I would have done something else instead of hurrying to get here. Instead I've just wasted my day trying to see this place. No joy.

Business response:

I am sorry about that. We, like everyone else in Moab are on our winter hours. We do stay until 5 if we have someone in the parking lot. If it is a slow day, we go with the flow. Today was very slow. It does not make sense to keep 3 giftshops and a zoo open with no customers. As the day gets longer, we will stay. In the season months, even though our hours are posted until 5, we stay open many days until 6. Sorry again for the disappointment.

Went a few yrs back, it was amazing to imagine how they lived at that time, in the rock...the years it took to make it a home! Even a fryer in the kitchen made in the rock! If I head that way again, I will stop in.

Business response:

Thank you Linda, so happy to know that you had a nice visit. Please visit again.

I was completely amazed- I spent almost 3 hours wandering the grounds, tour, and great gift shops! My husband slept in the car while I ran wild. I can't wait to see it again!
