The land the brothers farm originated from a land grant to the Holdens' ancestors, the Brooks Family, from King George the 2nd in 1756. The Holdens' ancestors have been farming the land for over two hundred years, earning it the distinction of being a Bicentennial Farm. It is the 9th oldest farm in North Carolina that has remained in the same family. Prior to 1984 the land was predominately used to grow tobacco. Friendly and helpful staff. And they had a beautiful selection of pumpkins and collards.
Great produce all year round. We travel from the charleston SC area to buy the freshest produce , we make a yearly trip to purchase over $75.00 or more worth of collards, mustards,cabbage ! It is a nice day trip for everyone right on highway 17 mile marker 9 in North Carolina!
Lots of fresh vegetables along with other stuff. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Always enjoy stopping in when in the area.

One of my favorite weekly stops!!! Okra, Tomatoes, Field peas, and Cantaloupes!!! The place smells SO good as soon as the doors open!!! And the cashier on the stool always has us leaving with a smile and feeling glad we stopped in!!!
