Good food, friendly and fast service

Just had dinner at Hofs Hut Crenshaw Blvd Torrence Ca. food was awesome as usual. However it is closing in 2 weeks for a complete remodel, will be closed for several months.
the food was delicious, and big portions
They have the best baked potato soup, good assortment of breakfasts and entrees, plus the most outstanding carrot cake. We spend every birthday and anniversary there and bring extra carrot cake home with us. In addition, they have an excellent cobb salad.
Our breakfast was very bland. Those potatoes had no taste.
Disappointing service -- the patio was NOT the place to be tonight... The rotisserie chicken was DRY, steak was tasteless, we got no drink refills, had to ask for our bread 4 times... I actually walked inside to another table & got salt+pepper and the sugar (that had been asked for) MYSELF. We had a large group (13 people), and I really think the hostess needed help.
The salmon cesar salad is really great!😋
Came in on Labor Day and were expecting a long wait, but that didn’t happened. Sat in our table and ordered our food. Excellent food and I love the blueberry muffin. Would love to go back to try lunch and dinner menu.
