I am currently at the restaurant right now FOR MY BIRTHDAY. 95-100% of those who have been seated AFTER us have been served AND left by now and we are just now being served our food (after 2.5 hours!! We even had other customers coming to our table to make jokes about our wait as they walked out). We were not apologized to about the wait and the manager had a horrible response. I am giving Hob Nob 1 star, because of their manager's horrible attitude toward the guests. We made the manager aware that we waited almost 3 hours for our food (2 hours for the salads) and her response was it is an experience so you should wait that long. She did not apologize, and did not try to understand the situation. She was extremely rude. Four of us went for thanksgiving dinner 11/24. Very busy place that day so I was glad we were seated right away since my Father is 90. Things went downhill from there. Very slow service to begin with, perhaps understaffed for the large crowd. The french onion soup was good and also the salad although long wait to get the soup and then another long wait for salad. I have never felt the kind of descrimination then what I felt from the service at this restaurant. There was an older gentleman walking around in the parking lot being rude to customers. It's a truely beautiful establishment but due to the service I won't be going there again and I'm from out of town and won't be recommending it to anyone.
I love HOBNOB I worked there when I was younger. The food and service are great!
I was with several friends, Saturday, and had a great time. The cocktails were generous, the food was really good, and the prices reasonable. It was Sweetest Day, so more crowded than normal, I was told. That meant service was a bit slow, but fortunately we weren't in a hurry. I'll go back for sure!
I have been going to this exquisite restaurant for years since the Higgins days with my parents back in the day. It is probably one of the best restaurant/ supper club around, my experience has been very positive. Since owning my own restaurant and how I use to work for Mike and Ann, I can truly say the food has always been great and consistent. It is such a pleasure dining here!
Excellent dinner! Great quality food done to a perfection. Then top it off with a Brandy Alexander, yes. They seem to moving away from the typical "supper club" and more luxury dinning. Supper Club was defined at one time with a selection of cheese and crackers, and assorted salads for an appetizer. Things are changing.
A very unique dining experience, beautiful property and atmosphere, takes you back in time when dining out was an event!!
