The staff at Hoag hospital Irvine were the friendliest, most professional, empathetic and caring group of people I ever met in a hospital! Rooms were clean and response to issues were quick and friendly. The surgeons and doctors were very professional, helpful, shared concerns and all doctors we met were happy to spend time with us helping my wife with her emergency. I have visited the ER at Hoag Hospital multiple times due to severe pain, and my experience has been extremely frustrating and concerning. During several visits, I was in significant pain, yet no clear diagnosis was made. Each time, I was simply given pain medication and sent home without answers. On October 19, I went to the ER again and was told nothing was wrong. I was discharged. For an emergency department that's not very busy... they sure take their sweet time.. seen two individuals come in with a cheif complaint of chest pain... even they had to wait...
