Be careful if you’re getting any exams done here. I’m now being charged by a doctor I’ve never even seen. Apparently, they contract outside physicians to read exam results—but that was never made clear to me beforehand. My primary doctor, who ordered the exam, is fully capable of reviewing the results, so this additional charge feels unnecessary and misleading. We never received a single bill from Hoag (via snail mail, via email, via online portal, etc.) and they sent to debt collection without any context. No idea what we ultimately are even paying for. Incredibly poor communications and stress inducing, and so typical for a D-average healthcare facility ultimately that pours money into the beauty of its buildings vs. actual healthcare. We will never use Hoag again. Do not trust our family members to this, nor would we recommend to any friends/family.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Hoag Health Center, Genetic Testing in Irvine. At the time of testing, I was explicitly told that my out-of-pocket cost would not exceed $395.
