The nurses are awesome here!!! The E. R. PCA's are very sweet and the R. N's on my floor are genuine with the patients. So far my experience is very good. I moved to a room with a very sweet lady and we get a long so great!! So far so good!!
Absolutely the WORST treatment I ever had from an E.R... 12 hours in a hallway, to be treated as if i wasn't there. Shame on you Hackensack!
Unfortunately they have fallen off. When it comes to Adults, priorities are different. The ER registration system sucks. You'll be bounced around all day/night. Children's ER care is better but still slow.
I have been in the emergency room since 1:40pm yesterday. I had a room "area" which I was taken out of and have been in a hallway since then. No clear plan, just laying here. I would have been better off going to an animal hospital.
Only go to the ER if you're dying. Anything short of a cardiac event or brain issue, go somewhere else. Hours and hours and hours of waiting. Not a whole lot of empathy to be found.
My little girl was riding bikes with her brother outside...I turned my back and next thing I know she's face down in the pavement... knees shoulders etc with deep road rash head swelling and dizzy. I panicked. They took her RIGHT back and checked on her often... She had an xray and a ctscan within 2 hours. The only (& now I know a more serious issue) I had was that her nurse was so slow to clean her deep wounds that they scabbed over embedding street debri in.
