About this business

St. Luke's Church is a monolithic Goth-style church that was built in the year 1632 and is one of the oldest surviving churches in the country. Today the church operates as a museum with an interesting collection of ancient period furniture, 17th-century artifacts, as well as the nations oldest organ. The church cemetery also makes for interesting viewing. Hourly tours take you back in time as you enjoy the exquisite intricacies of beautiful colonial architecture and the unique relics on display.

My new husband I were married @ St. Luke’s in August and we’re so happy we did!! Fred Hodges & the whole staff worked with us through every little detail to help make sure our day went the way we dreamed!! We got beautiful photos inside and out that we’ll always cherish!! I’ve attached a few, sooo many / too many to share!!

I went there yesterday and it was an amazing experience! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. The gift shop lady was also very nice! It was really cheap for admission and it comes with a tour that lasted almost a hour. It’s also very scenic also! Lots of trees and beautiful to see all the fall colors!!

Beautiful cemetery grounds and a lovely creek surround historic St. Luke's. The vast history and interconnectedness of these hallowed grounds are brought vividly to life by the amazing tour guides (like John the Pastor!). Highly recommended for lovers of history, early American architecture, and lively discussion!
