We stopped for dinner on Saturday, October 3rd. System down, short staffed and, still the staff was more than accommodating. Honest and upfront is the best policy. We didn't have the dinner we were hoping for, and we had an excellent time because of the wonderful people who ran the show! We appreciated their willingness to work through a tough time with grace and genuine hospitality.
Front desk person was very welcoming. When lounge worker showed up, gave us our drinks and was on phone rest of time until another couple showed up. She is the only reason service was poor
So far I've stayed here 4 times and keep bringing new friends who have never beenl! A very friendly receptionist showed us around and told us the history. People visit from around the world. I enjoy looking at the visitor book to see how far people travel to visit. Germany and the Netherlands and people come from all over the world since this is the last hotel of his.
Beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright Hotel!!
I was so excited when I learned about this hotel that we structured our trip to make sure we could stay there. The hotel itself, it’s like staying in a museum- there was FLW design eye candy in every nook and cranny. It was notable to see how functional design has changed over the last 110 years. It was also interesting how many common spaces there were that no one used. It was sold out the night we were there but it was a ghost town.
