Visited Hippo with the family this past week, and we were very pleased. The restaurant in one of the trendy areas of Highland Park had long been on our list of restaurants to try, but we haven't been able to try it (we love the pizza place next door). Great selection of dishes as we split various ones among ourselves. Among our favorites were the duck pasta and scallops. The decor inside was very nice, and the service great. This is the most mediocre dining experience you can have in HLP.
I have always got food to go, but the atmosphere never misses- forever greeted with a smile. I am in love with everything they produce and cannot be swayed. Try desserts, it is a whole different playground. Side note, they even have a happy hour menu.
