I have been a hip-city Veg customer for years as the food is always GREAT!!!! However today, they messed up! Yup! A USED GLOVE IN MY FOOD BAG!!!! WHAT?!?! A GLOVE?!?! What's worse is that when I went to approach them about it, they all gave me this attitude gas-lighting me like I was the guy who threw the glove in the food bag!!!! I got the real deal veggie burger, fries, and a vanilla shake. It was fine. The milkshake was really tasty, and the fries and the burger were ok. Not bad by any means, and also nothing special.
I stopped by HipCityVeg for a quick lunch and ordered the Philly cheesesteak, mainly because I wanted something fast and easy. I honestly did not realize this was a vegan / plant-based restaurant when I ordered. The surprising part: the cheesesteak was excellent. The texture, flavor, grilled onions, sauce, and bread all worked really well together. I genuinely could not tell it was plant-based while eating it.
