I have stayed at Hilton hotels (and others) around the world. I dont ever recall staying at a hotel that automatically charges you for parking. I learned from the receptionist that the system DEFAULTS to charging for parking. So as a guest if you dont check your folio, they quietly pocket your extra money. What bothers me even more is I called twice to resolve this: first to the receptionist who told me she removed it. 1. Booked a room online at a specific price. Checked in, got charged triple. Also paid for a suite that was supposed to have a microwave and fridge. There was no microwave and the coffee pot was missing half of its parts so was useless to us. Have to ride down 8 floors and back up every time we needed a microwave. 2. I liked this hotel much more than I expected. Clean, friendly, and easy walking distance to convention center. Buffet breakfast not free but well done with mini-Starbucks also off the lobby. Room was great, but I had a suite.
