We were there 3 nights, we arrived to full trash cans and old food on the bed and couch from previous guests. on the second night we asked if we could have some fresh towels, the front desk wrote down our room number on a scrap of paper and said to leave our towels outside our door for housekeeping. We did that at 7am. We got back at 10pm. No fresh towels. We were told it was too late and nobody could do that. Our stay this past weekend at the Hilton Garden Inn South Bend was one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. Between business travel, family travel, and our son playing travel hockey, we have stayed at more than our fair share of hotels. This one was unique. And, not in a good way. 1. Our team reserved a "block of ten rooms." This "block" was scattered throughout the hotel. Different halls and different floors. Sort of defeats the purpose of reserving a "block." 2. ❤️❤️HUGE THANK YOU to Linda Scroggins and Jeffery who work at this hotel. ❤️❤️Jeffery literally went through 20 garbage bags with me to help find my wallet and Linda in house keeping was the mastermind who found it!! They went above and beyond and really cared❤️❤️❤️ my green card was in there🤪
