fish was meaty but already had panko on onion rings....we couldn't decide between grilled cauliflower or onion rings which we tried cauliflower instead. Waiter could have been more attentive.
RecommendedOur experience here was TOP NOTCH. Wait staff very friendly. Food was FANTASTIC from the appetizer to the desert. My wife has a hard time finding a bartender who can make a decent chocolate martini, but “Johnny Ringo” (couldn’t help myself—looks just like the Tombstone character) made one for her that was fantastic AND isn’t on the drink menu. If you’re ever in Hilo, this is a must stop.

Nice options but a little expensive
Food was very good here. Excellent quality and well presented. Portions were good sized as well. Staff were friendly and professional which added to the experience. The place is a step up from most of the dinning in Hilo, so if you like a better dining experience, this is the place to go. One thing is that it is very popular, so make your reservations in advance.
We went to HBC for New Years Eve for probably the worst meal/dining experience Ive ever had. . We had reservations. I don't really drink but decided that since we were celebrating I'd have a martini. The martini arrived in a water glass. The waitress said they had run out of real glasses so they were winging it. Great poke! Love many dishes here, and it has a nice view, a good bar/bartending, and hours of operation. Big thumbs up!👍
