The waiter Ian and our dessert where very good. The fish was bad, very tough, I mean literally like a tough piece of meat. My wife's fillet was thin and just OK. Would not recommend.
We were just driving around the volcano and drove into Hilo and seen the cafe. Glad we stopped for lunch, We had the fish and chips it was wonderful. It's a much have!
We stumbled upon this gem on our NCL cruise day in Hilo. It was my husband's birthday. Our table was beside the water. The service was top notch. And we loved the food. He said the veggie burger was, "the best he ever had".
Never got a chance to eat. Sat us in front of the bar In a booth even though we asked to be outside. We were told by the hostess there were no seats available even though the restaurant was slow and there were many open seats. Two people that got seated after us we're being served before us and we never had a server come up to our table and asked us if we were ready to order so we left.
As usual we sat in the bar, just to get better service. We tried to get a seat outside, but after the 4th person walked hastily by and shouted "someone will help you soon" we decided on the bar...again. Food is mostly pretty good, but they are very disorganized and when they get busy all service decorum is out the window.
Hilo Bay Cafe has a stunning view in which an excellent staff serves superb food! It was absolutely lovely💚
Great food, great location, excellent service, and always a good time.
Great place to dine. We stopped for lunch and the food and service was excellent.
