The food is usually very here. The service is good but occasionally you will get an errant server who just doesn't care unfortunately. Always crowded during dinner service. Go early or late.
Love to come here after work whether it be for a late lunch or for drinks. The atmosphere is great as is the food.
The mayan calendar was correct, it was like the end of the world on Friday December 21, 2012 when I walked into Hillstone after driving in from Santa Fe like I have for for 20 years my first stop for some amazing food and terrific service and banter from the bartender Jodee. Food was excellent! Sushi was mouth watering, service was exceptional. Would definitely go again.
Worst. Restaurant. Ever! We asked to be seated on the patio at Hillstone's, and the Maitre'D seated us, and a waitress came for our drink order, Then GB, assistant manager, and MW, Security Guard, said we weren't welcome at the restaurant. We were three gay men and one had a cut off shirt at the sleeves and that was "not allowed" despite no apparent dress code posted anywhere at the restaurant. Great food and great service. Tends to have longs waits on the weekends though.
Houston's in one of my favorite staples. The food is always really good (especially the spinach artichoke dip and steak thai salad) and the service is consistently good as well.
The food at Houston's is always great which is good becuase on Friday's and weekends, the wait can be fairly long. It is worht the wait, but try it on an off night in the middle of the week.
