What's not to love? We were visiting from Cincy, OH and were really excited to check out Hillside after seeing them at Cincy Wine and Food Classic. We were blown away by everything. The food and service was amazing. Our waiter (forget his name) was so attentive and even gave us local recommendations to check out during our time in the city and in Sonoma. I could go on and on about specific dishes, but I'd rather talk about the fundamental difference in philosophy that this restaurant espouses. They execute food well, that's beyond doubt. But they also provide a superior dining experience. They don't rush you out the door, or try to make you feel like a dumbass by being pretentious about their food, unlike many, many restaurants in SF. The food and drinks speak for themselves. One of the most creative restaurants in SF. I love this place. The food is always good and the menu is always imaginative. Organized a Christmas party there and was blown away by the food. Service is great too. Seriously I only have good things to say about this place.
