So far, the worst experience my family has gone through. We have been seeking help for out family member off-and-on for a little over a year. Hillside sounded promising and we felt hopeful. Sadly, our family member has been in residential care for three weeks and is declining at a high speed. The antecedent to the increasing depression that they’re experiencing is the staff. They have such a lack of kindness, compassion, and knowledge. The consequences that are applied to unwanted/negative behaviors greatly outweighs the chi... read more

Our granddaughter was in the Outpatient DBT Program for 6 weeks. She has numerous emotional problems-PTSD, Borderline Personality,ADHD, depression, suicidal tendencies and anxiety. Life has been difficult for her but this place has helped her so much! She totally loved the program and feels like she can manage her problems so much better. Life is worth living now! The staff there was wonderful and caring. We participated in counseling sessions twice a week, which helped us learn how to help her get through the tough times. S... read more

Hillside is the worst thing that has ever happened to me, I discharged a year ago. I've been through a lot of trauma and suicide attempts, and been to 3 other residential treatment facilities, all of which were better than Hillside. I had nightmares about Hillside for months, I was emotionally and mentally abused while there. The staff were for the most part heartless and mean. My therapist was cruel. I hated my time there, would not recommend. Food horrible, staff cruel, activities boring and degrading.

I'm sure all the staff has heard about me. My name is Cody House. I was a patient from July 22nd 2014- July 27th 2015... I had no hope I was going to be discharged. I took off running coming back from the dining hall. I never looked back. They finally discharged me AMA after I made it all the way to NE Ga.

My 16 year old son spent 5 weeks at Hillside. The staff was amazing, the campus pretty and secure. He needed the level of care and therapy and Hillside was the right place for him. I highly recommend Hillside. he would have stayed longer but health insurance is a pain and we had to fight to keep him there. it is very hard to find and pay for mental help for teens and children, and we are so thankful for Hillside.

Nice facility, more "normal" setting than others. Staff have been good communicators, and apparently, the food doesn't suck!

My son was discharged today and Hillside was everything I hoped it would be. The staff is amazing and truly care for my son. They truly have the child’s best interest at heart. It’s always scary sending your child somewhere but this was by far the best place he has ever been.

I was admitted to Hillside 3 times between 2011–2013. I was 13 at the time. I am now 21, I am sure things have changed since then and the same staff and teachers aren’t around but it was an overall GREAT experience. I didn’t want to be helped when I came there but over time was able to open up, become confident and work through my problems because of the caring staff and therapists. I honestly would say if I had to do it all over again, I would. Great place, Great people. They can truly help you if you allow them the chance ... read more

I'm an RN at Hillside. I love that we can make a real difference in the lives of our clients. Dr. Silberman is AMAZING, as are Dr. Drake, Kimberly Young, NP, and Dr. Jan Smith. They really CARE. HR is the best at anywhere I have ever worked. This job is a great gift to me. I feel it is a privilege to be there and to get to do work that comes from the heart.
