As a RN in another state, I was recently admitted to UC San Diego Hillcrest. I was on the 7th floor, and the care was excellent! Highly recommend!
My bf was treated great in the first days and had an amputation and a lung procedure but as soon as they were done he was moved to a different floor and was treated like in the worst of ways he did not want to go to a nursing home to recover because he didn't want to seperate from me and the doctor on that floor (9th. Floor) was horrible he kept insisting him on the nursing home and said he was not comfortable discharging him and the day he was discharged we were left to figure out ourselves how to get gim into the car and 2... read more
Insane how they don’t staff this place like a 1st world country. “Short staffed” isn’t and excuse when you’re charging thousands for a band aid.
I stayed at this hospital two years ago and I still have mixed feelings about it. First of all, the doctors are great. They recognized that I had depression and PTSD and really pushed for me to get help, even when I resisted for an entire week. Because of them, I was sent to a crisis house, which led to me getting into treatment and out of homelessness. So I am forever in their debt. Thank you for seeing me and helping me.
