My experience at this Family Health Center has been outstanding. After receiving my X-rays, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Duke, who took the time to thoroughly explain my severe knee osteoarthritis and the next steps for treatment. He was patient, attentive, and made sure I understood everything clearly. I was especially impressed that even though his schedule was fully booked for the next six weeks, he made arrangements to see me right away for a cortisone injection—which, to my surprise, was completely painless. I've only had 1 appointment here where I wasn't satisfied and he was a traveling dr so I don't judge the rest of the appointments harshly. With that said, I love my chiro, David Sosa! I've seen him off and on for a couple years and I think hes the best chiropractor I've ever been to. He listens, gives great advice and explanations for things. Terrible policies and makes you pay to park, with no validation options. Had to cancel my appointments bc this and the North Park locations fumbled my account by their labs not having needed materials to process tests I gave blood/urine samples for (I live an hour outside of town, and they wanted me to come in and do them again due to their poor planning), refused virtual services for easily accomplished online refills, etc. Also scheduled me wrong multiple times and I gave up after so much repeated headache. 0 stars do not ... read more
Dr Takyi Afua claims to be an obesity medicine specialist, yet she was unaware of new pills for losing weight. She didn’t even bother to search for them for me, as I was quite certain about the weight loss pills. The lower dose costs $150, while the highest dose costs $300 with the saving card. She didn’t even attempt to solve my problem.
Staff is nice but parking is a nightmare. Being notified that parking in the garage or side lot is covered for 2 hours with validation would’ve been nice but predatory parking rules the area. Was told the appointment was incorrectly set in El Cajon and that we could drive over and be seen right away. Don’t believe the lies, 20 mins later and they say they won’t see us for another half.
