Dr. Norton is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and overall a great doctor. Her office staff is friendly and helpful. I have been a patient of Dr. Norton's for several years now.
Disclaimer: After posting a negative review, I was called and questioned by an RN, and then they deleted my patient portal account that gave me access to my records. WTF.Dr. Norton was very nice, but the admin staff was not. They never answer the phone or return your phone calls. When I told the front desk receptionist and medical assistant about my frustration with not being able to get a hold of anyone, they did not care. Brilliant, she has treated me for rheumatoid arthritis for 6 years and I am currently in remission. The staff watches my blood work carefully and are very concerned about my well being.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! SHE HAS HAD MY REFERRAL SINCE 11/17/2017; TODAY IS 1/18/2018 AND I'VE HAD NOT ONE PHONE CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. I'VE LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES, AS YOU NEVER REACH AN ACTUAL PERSON, NOT ONE CALL RETURNED! UNBELIEVABLY UNPROFESSIONAL!
Dr. Norton is smart & knowledgeable & has shown great compassion to other patients. She lacks a bedside manner, is very hard to 'read,' & you will only be seen 2x a yr. by her. The rest of the time, you will be seen by her gruff, condescending, easily angered CNP, Susan B. She yelled at me on the phone multiple times, inappropriately. & for even more reasons-I brought my spouse to the last visit I had, as i was truly scared of her. He was dumbfounded as she walked out a few min later & fired me.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! After leaving messages for over a month, I finally get a call back and was told "you have madicare/Medicaid. I'll have to see if the doctor will accept you. I'll call you back". That was a week and a half ago. The person I spoke with was rude and condescending. I thought doctors took a Hippocratic oath to help people not decide if she'll make any money. Rude staff and snobby doctor deserve each other. I'd leave No Stars if the option was available.
Dr Norton is extremely smart and very caring. She not only listens well, she is very funny and shares knowledge and experience with ease. She is no nonsense when it comes to procedures and treatment. Her background as an internist and a specialist gives her an incredible overview of general health concerns. Her office staff is excellent and kind and efficient. It is a privilege to have her as a physician.
Cynthia at the front desk very friendly and helpful. The location is hard to find. I will go out of my way to see anyone else after being treated to the hostility of support staff. Inexcusable and unprofessional to call patients nasty names, especially when there are so many others within earshot - a few staff apologized for their co-worker's behavior. A patient in the waiting room said, "She just threatened you." Why return???
Cynthia returned my call and said we don't want u as a patient because u have lupus. I have have rheumatoid arthritis also I replied. Nope u have lupus so we don't want to see u very very rudely. Bye. I had already talked to Someone about getting records transferred from out of town rheumatologist. Whoever the first person is didn't know Cynthia didn't want me there. Looks like some training of office staff is in order
