I've been a long time customer of this shop. The selection is amazing, and really the only thing that kept me coming back. Based on my last experience there, I'm rating it with the lowest score. For a while I figured the people who worked there were maybe having an "off day" every time I shopped, but the attitude and lack of caring happens every single time. The customer service is unprofessional and, including the owner, the people who work there are extremely rude and uncaring.
I visit HCW on every visit to Austin. Be sure to allow enough time, as the selection of yarn is huge. One of my favorite things about this store is that they have lots of completed items on display that give me a good sense of how the yarns will look when made up. The samples are on point and timely, and of course very well done. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. Last, but not least, the store is in a cool neighborhood with lots of funky shops.
The online store is wonderful. I bought some yarn that was not in Stock so they called the manufacturer and ordered it for me.Great customer service I enjoy a store that goes out of their way to make you happy
Super nice, very clean, all the best (some custom made), a liitle hard to find, but they'll help get you there. Worth it to get there.
I love knitting stores. Love yarn and love to knit. Love this shop.
I was in this store twice while visiting Austin. Each time I was amazed by the wonderful selection of yarn and notions. However both visits left me very sad because of how unfriendly the people were.
Really great place for hand crafters and fiber artists. Large selection of the best brands out there. So many colors and textures! If you're stopping in Austin, make a point of going here.
