After trying exercises, over counter meds and Doctors who say they can help I finally came to Dr. Hilgenhurst last year. I can not say enough great things about this facility and every staff member. Dr. Hilgenhurst not only has improved my health he also worked with my financial and insurance needs. I've been to several pain Drs since moving to TN from NJ, and Dr Hilgenhurst is the only one who never treated me like one of whom is a drug seeker or addict.In fact, I've never seen a pain Dr who has a staff like his! They are all so kind, respectful, and friendly. Every time I go to the office for a visit, I'm greeted warmly by the staff. After seeing a PMS in Memphis for over 15 yrs, I had to find a new MD when I moved to the area. I saw a few physicians but they only wanted to prescribe narcotics for my post mastectomy chronic pain. Dr Hilgenhurst offered a spinal cord stimulator. After research, prayer and discussions with other physicians, I decided to get the SCS. Dr hilgenhurst is the best doctor iv ever been to i the 12 yrs iv been disabled. He have the best staff and they CARE about you. There sometimes is a long wait but the folks that come to see him will keep you entertained as well. ??. He has so many different techniques that are for particular pain sites and gives you the option to use them and dose not demand or discharge you for opting out of any of them. While I was here I complied with every request & controlled substance rule. Due to what I found out later on was a contamination of my blood pressure medication, I had a drug test come back positive for substances I was not prescribed. Instead of being professional & working with me, I was called a liar several times, told to my face I was an addict and ‘dismissed’ from the practice in the same breath after being told they were only concerned about my health. Since the beginning of entering this practice, I have been met with kindness, patience, and dignity. The front office team, nursing staff, and doctors have been wonderful. I was in tremendous neck, shoulder, back and hip pain when first coming here. I have gone through a few management plans. I’ve seen both Dr. H and the nurse practitioner Mary.
