We ate lunch out on the patio. Highlands has amazing food, service and such a beautiful resort. I will be going back!
AMAZING food!!!! We stopped for a drink that turned into several drinks an appetizer and dinner. The staff was great, the service was right on and the owners were very friendly, helpful and informative. Will definitely re-visit this jewel again.
Wendy and Kevin have created the perfect place to stay when visiting the area. Nothing was overlooked when designing the cottages -- from the comfortable bed with great linen, the large bathroom with heated floor, the spacious shower, the in-room coffee maker and even a flashlight for the dark, starry nights. We had an excellent dinning experience as well as a fabulous meal here. The food was so amazing, my compliments to the Chef! You absolutely have to go enjoy the meal as well as the views at this wonderful Resort! I promise, it won't be your last trip up!!!!!!
We stayed in the Serenity Cottage this weekend. What a fantastic, relaxing experience! Great staff, superb food, tremendous views and setting. We loved the outdoor fire pit, and the hot tub at the edge of the meadow. We will be back.
This was the best dining experience! The food was amazing! I am so excited to have you as our new "go to" place. We had awesome service too! It's nice to have a resort of this caliber near our cabin!
Enjoyed salmon for dinner and it was to die for! Also enjoyed wine on the patio with some friends and had a lovely experience!

We toured the main building today, and were impressed by the attention to detail and quality of workmanship going into it. The original beams, walnut countertops, and enhancement of natural lighting are going to make this inn a gem and a destination by itself. I can't wait to return when it's finished. I'll be more inclined to spend an entire day hiking in Lassen National Park - and kicking back here afterwards - than driving three more hours to my next destination. So anxious!
