This was our second experience at Highlands Ranch Resort. Both experiences were day trips to enjoy cross country skiing and to have lunch. The resort is poised just off the highway next to a spectacular meadow. Conditions were wonderful for both skiing and snow-shoeing. When done, we enjoyed a fabulous lunch. They even have our favorite beer on tap from Lassen Ale Works in Susanville CA. We plan to return for more of the same in the future.
One of the best dinners I've had at Highlands Ranch! Their Chief is a genius, and the staff was speedy and efficient. Will be returning shortly....

We always love to stop in when we travel up the mountain. Such a great winter vibe, and the place was packed with all the other "day adventures". �
Best mountain getaway with gorgeous views from private cottages! Staff is friendly - Kevin and Wendy are the perfect hosts!! Food was amazing! Close to Lassen park and several good fishing holes, creeks and lakes! We will make this a regular destination and look forward to taking the family.
Just happened to see it driving back to Reno from California. Stopped in for something to eat at 4:00 p.m. Restaurant wasn't open for dinner yet, but the hostess asked if we wanted to see the Bar menu. Wow! The Mahi mahi chapotle fish tacos and wild mushroom pizza were Fabulous!
