Tuomi Jack O Dvm - Very Good w Sporting Dogs Highland Animal Clinic is I have in the past taken lab pups and young adult labs to be seen by Dr Tuomi and he has not only been very competent but very caring. He has a background with sporting dogs and I appreciated his interest in hunting with labs and other breeds. The whole staff was exceptional.
Jack Tuomi's Highland Animal Clinic is one of the best in town. I have lived 37 years of my adult life in South Anchorage (upper O'Malley/ Old Seward) and my extended family are avid pet lovers with a long history of beloved pets, many now long gone. STAY SWAY FROM THIS CLINIC Yesterday, one of my puppies "Panchito" a healthy, well groomed chihuahua was taken in for a scheduled teeth cleaning. Disturbingly and unexpectedly " Panchito" lost his life while under the care of the incompetent Highland animal clinic. Our pupp was yet to be 5 yrs old, we are very upset with this clinic and the staff. If you cherish your pets life, PLEASE KEEP YOUR PETS AWAY FORM THIS CLINIC. We miss our panchito dearly,
Multiple generations of my family have gone to this clinic for many, many animals and spent plenty of money here. I had to sit on my review for a month to calm down enough to write it. This is not the same clinic that it was five or ten years ago. In October of 2019, I took my geriatric cat in for a check up and issues toileting. She was in obvious pain, and I made it very clear that due to her age there would be no extraordinary measures. RecommendedDr. Jen and the staff at Highland always take great care of my dog! I’ve taken my dog here her whole life. She’s has several health problems lately and Highland is always amazing at helping her (and me)! They listen to my concerns and I trust their opinions. I highly recommend Dr. Jen and her staff at Highland!
Been using them for 20 years , but of late the quality of care has depreciated considerably. Most likely due to only one vet( other than Dr Brightman - the eye specialist). This was a wonderful place when Jack and Pam were there. I can’t say enough good about them. Because she is the only vet there- (Jennifer Tuomi- daughter of the original vets Jack and Pam) they are stretched so thin,and very often can’t get you in, and if they do , the vet is often unavailable- so you’re dealing with a tech.very frustrating .
