UPDATE—- I gave Hightops a great review when they did my job in 2021, and I still stand by the work they did. BUT, I was having an issue with a drip edge that I asked Dan to come out and look at it. He said he would come out and ONLY charge me half price of $150, to evaluate. I would think that when you spend over $10,000 with a company, and you have a concern a few years later, that they would come out as a courtesy, and see what’s going on. We have a home that has a very old roof. We are preparing a remodel and know the roof needs to be replaced. The storms over the weekend had water running into our home. We contacted Dan and he was able to make some temporary repairs that will get us thru till all the design and replacement work can be completed. He is prompt, fairly priced, and most of all our home is dry inside. Thanks Dan

High Tops Roofing in Mundelein did a complete/full roof replacement several weeks ago and they did a phenomenal job. From the beginning with a requested estimate, owner Dan was quick to respond by phone and come out to give an estimate. He gave a fair, competitive price (we had 3 quotes overall) and we went with High Tops because they were local and we liked Dan and how he conducted himself. Chimney area still leaks...last summer called him to fix a leak around my chimney. He quoted me $650 then charged $750. Spent 1/2 an hour on the roof...which would've been OK but the chimney still leaks! when I asked him to return he wanted another $375. I told him I would give him a poor review because my chimney is still leaking... he threatened legal action! very strange guy, unprofessional and cannot solve problems.
