TL;DR Sonny is the absolute best and you should hire him. More below. We approached Sonny with what I felt was a pretty hefty project ask; our floors had been ravaged by renters for 20 years and were seemingly unsalvageable. Both worn through, water and UV stained, it felt like a battle that could not be won. Upon entry Sonny was clearly excited to get to work and promised he could make them sing again. Sonny refinished my oak floors about two years ago in my midtown house (built in 1950). At that time I decided not to repair the living room patch I had done previously with a weave (my mistake!). I later regretted this and wanted to have the repair done with a weave. This is a smaller job - and even though it was a small job, Sonny made time to come back to do the repair, and also refinished everything to match. Sonny’s work was exceptional in all ways. Our hickory floors had an original gloss finish that was heavily scratched from previous owners’s dogs. Sonny sanded, stained and varnished the floors to a matte finish that highlighted the beautiful wood grain. Sonny communicated well with us throughout the project, and kept to his quoted project schedule. Our floors look brand new! We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, friendly, efficient and skilled craftsman.
Can't say enough good stuff about HD Hardwood flooring. Sunny is a pleasant honest person and was easy to do business with. The work was done in a professional manner. He was flexible with our general contractor and subcontractors working with them to keep our remodel on schedule. I would use they again!
