The ambiance was good. The tea service is lovely. We had a large group for brunch. I understand that they have a small kitchen so the wait for food was understandable. The portions were very small and I finished breakfast unsatisfied. The scones are delicious!

Shona, I am sorry I have been out of town and am unable to respond in a specific way to your comment on the portion sizes since I don't know what you had. It is true that our kitchen is small and larger groups take us a little extra time. But being a Tea Room it is also our mission to take things a little slower. We really sell relaxation and leave huge portions and high speed operation to diners and fast food establishments. I love High Biscuits! The food is excellent. The teas are so flavorful. It's hard to say what's my favorite. But it's a great place to gather with friends. If you haven't tried it, you're missing a treat!
