Casual and comfortable atmosphere. Knowledgable and friendly staff. Food and tea were fantastic. Unique flavor combinations - ham with thyme and jezebel sauce??? - fantastic. They even have double devon cream - reminds me of England.

This is a really great concept and a lovely concept! And the food and tea? delicious! But in my view, there is room for improvement - i.e. - match the music to the concept - perhaps jazz and/or elevator/soft music is more appropriate for the kind of place that it is instead of them playing rock and roll music. Drinking my lovely tea out of a beautiful pitcher and cup/saucer to the sound of 'I love rock and roll so put another dime in the jukebox baby' just took away from the experience. Thank you, Lana for your comments. I play different music lists every day so that there is always something different here besides the food variety. Come on Thursday if you would like to drink tea in a more formal musical setting! I am a casual tea room so I don't find a major disconnect with that - we celebrate a wide variety of influences and put that into the food as well. I have answered the cost versus perceived quantity several times - we ARE different. All of our food is made on site from scratch and fresh ingredients... read more
Husband and I came since we were since off today for the holiday. Wonderful!!! So glad there is place to get tea now in the area! I just found out about it this week and foul not wait to come try it! Was not disappointed in the least! Food was great and service was great! Thanks John for a great experience!!!
This is a very belated review, but I just wanted to say how much my husband and I enjoyed our second experience at HB Tea. The tea was excellent and the food was fresh, fabulous, and delicious! We will definitely be back in the future and highly recommend!

My husband and I had afternoon tea there today, he has just returned from 3 weeks in Europe and I have just returned from a week at the Biltmore. He experienced a wonderful selection of food and beverage in Europe and I did High Tea at the Biltmore Inn. Please everyone come to High Biscuit and experience the wonderful example of Tea and specity foods we have here in the Jackson, MS area. Everything about our experience was delightful.
