New owners very hospitable. Our family had a great time there this past weekend. Looks like they have been working very hard on making this place a clean and safe place for families to enjoy. Our boys loved the pool. And after talking to the Rileys, sounds like they have big plans on continued improvements throughout the campground. We can't wait to go back to see what they will do next!

RecommendedWe went to check out the Hickory Shores Resort today and was impressed! The new management is working hard to make this a pleasant camping experience. The grounds are well maintained, cabins are neat and clean with on-going updates! Will only get better! Very friendly, relaxed family atmosphere! Nice pond for fishing! We had our first stay at Hickory Shores this weekend, and are looking forward to more. The new owners are busting their rears to make this camp ground great. We can't wait to see the end results and plan many more trips now, and when it is where they want it in the future. We enjoyed our stay very much, and the friendliness and hard work of the owners to accommodate us.
Been here for several years now, works as a relaxing getaway for us. With new owners now finalized, we're looking forward to much needed improvements, getting together with old friends and making new ones.
Absolute worse campground! Facilities are dirty, the "pond" smells like sewage, there's never mngt or staff around and office is always locked, and the quiet hours are not observed. People were out on golf carts loudly playing music and shouting profanity past 1am. After calling to complain about it all, they wouldn't even refund/cancel my second night reservation or even apologize. Disgraceful business!
