I have always loved their brisket! Especially when it is on a smoked potato. Brought my daughter for her first time, she had ham. When we got home with the left overs she ate the rest of my potato and brisket, even though she does not eat need.

Not really Texas BBQ (far too pork-centric), some but nowhere near enough smoke (I suspect wood chips & electric smoker)), but tasty all the same. Nice bite on the ribs (pork!). Beans were tasty but lots of bacon flavor (again with the pork!!), and the Texas Toast was a bit thin. But again, all was darn tasty. Needs more beef on the menu, some jalapeño or habanero Mac & Cheese, Dr.Pepper something or other, and a FRITO PIE &/or stuffed tater on the menu! Must try the shoe next time.
Food is excellent and excellent people and service
We ordered enough food to serve 20 for our family graduation party for our daughter! When we picked it up that day it was perfect and everyone loved it. Thanks! Always a great experience with Hickory River!

My husband pulled pork plate was very dry and hard

Beef was on the dry side needed more bbq sauce still good great staff my favorite potato salad of all time
