Robert & Donna opened the Hickory Hollow in January 1984. Robert is from Williamston NC & Donna is from the Chesapeake Bay Area, Maryland and son Jarrett & wife Jenelle w/ their 3 kids are continuing the family tradition for many years to come. 2006 we were rated 3rd in the nation in the USA Today. We were here before the Interstate and Outlet Mall. This location used to be a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house. We opened w/ only 32 seats and our bathrooms were located outside. I grew up in New York City, so I may know nothing, but this food tastes more authentic than anything I have had in a long time. Delicious!
The corn pudding is like dessert.
Pretty much like Eastern NC BBQ. Enjoyed the 1 hr drive to try it! Worth it!
