Robert & Donna opened the Hickory Hollow in January 1984. Robert is from Williamston NC & Donna is from the Chesapeake Bay Area, Maryland and son Jarrett & wife Jenelle w/ their 3 kids are continuing the family tradition for many years to come. 2006 we were rated 3rd in the nation in the USA Today. We were here before the Interstate and Outlet Mall. This location used to be a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house. We opened w/ only 32 seats and our bathrooms were located outside. Had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Yummy. Spicy BBQ sauce was great. The corn fritters were good too - smooth and light not dense. Saved room for dessert -coconut cream pie - great taste
Corn fritters are good. Pulled pork sandwich and BBQ ribs. Steak fries were perfect - crisp and not greasy. This is a cash only place.

Best ribs in town. Great food. Good beer list.
The traditional bbq pork is moist and the sauce is tasty. Loads of homemade sides, too.
Get the jalapeño bacon when they have it! But everything is good
The Carolina BBQ is just like you would find in NC or VA. Flavorful tasty and worth a trip. If you love authentic BBQ get over to the Hollow!
