Just got back home from a wonderful 5th anniversary getaway at Hickory Hideaway. We stayed in a luxury cabin and it was just that. It was clear to see that the owners take a lot of pride in their property, everything was well maintained, clean, and welcoming. The owners were warm and welcoming and gave a nice, brief walkthrough of how to use everything in the cabin. The owner also provided a great recommendation for dinner near a theater we went to in Freeport. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I celebrated our 15th year anniversary the weekend of November 4th 2016 it was beautiful 65 degree weather an amazing romantic weekend getaway the owners were pleasant knowledgeable made sure that we had everything we needed gave us advice for restaurant places to go see we went fishing beautiful Parks beautiful lakes took wonderful pictures for memories I would so highly recommend this for a romantic weekend getaway family reunion couples weekend or just to get away and get together with friends. These cabins are really nice! We stayed in a rustic whirlpool cabin with our 12 year old son, and had plenty of room. He even had his own room! It's very quiet and relaxing, and the grounds are very nice. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway �
This place is amazing. Stayed at a luxury cabin. Everything was beautiful. The owners are so nice. The king sized bed was very comfortable. Loved having a fridge in the room. The Jacuzzi fits two people nicely and is very warm and relaxing. They even gave us a tour of the other cabins for future use. There is a community bonfire, so you can hang out with your neighbors if you want to. Also a community clubhouse with a large Jacuzzi in it. My husband surprised me with an anniversary trip up here! We stayed in a luxury cabin that had everything we needed and then some! It's quiet, secluded, and romantic! The owners were very sweet and knowledgeable about things we could do in the area and where we could get a nice dinner! We will definitely be back sometime!

Love this place. Definitely have to bring the family this Christmas and back more often . Great getaway. Very nice rooms and service.
