Hickory Hideaway Cabins.... I cannot say enough about how perfectly happy it is to be here. Its a gorgeous property that provides the most relaxing, comfy experience. The cabins were so comfortable, Sherry & George were amazing, and the property is beautiful. We had such a fun time at the Silvermoon winery, Poopys bar... and an even better time enjoying Hickory Hideaway! All I could keep telling my husband as soon as we settled in was, "This place is perfect! " The king size cozy bed, the whirlpool tub, the fireplace, the vcr/dvd player (I had forgotten all about tracking lol), the welcoming owners (when you check in they have a large selection of vhs tapes and dvds) who take their time to show you the cabin and talk about the area, the view from the porch with chairs and a small grill, glassware for drinks, microwave, fridge, book shelf with one of my favorite authors. RecommendedHubby and I always do overnight dates. We been looking for a place we can visit regularly when we need a break from city living. A place where it’s us and nature. Where we have time to do nothing but just be. I am happy to announce this may be my peaceful place I’ve been looking for. This is a MUST getaway! Our cabin was cozy and wonderful. You feel like family the minute you check-in. You will want for nothing. George and his wife thought of everything! The hospitality and care and accommodations are the absolute best in the history of forever!!
To start off with they saved the day for my 10th Anniversary!! The owners are polite and helpful. The cabin was amazing !!! The morning view was beautiful , the sunrise thru the trees and a couple deer off in the distance. True serenity. Most definitely will be back .

George and Sherry became FAMILY! We received a warm welcome to all of us having a little 35 year reunion amongst their trees in a quiet little spot. Greeted with enthusiasm and overly helpful when we had to track down a pharmacy. They even prepped for evening campfires! They are generous and genuine and lovely. Their grounds are perfect for groups or if you just need a little peace and quiet (to maybe catch a show at Timber Lake Playhouse ;-)). George and Sherry are very accommodating. We are fortunate to have them in Carroll County. A last minute need for lodging pulled them away from their plans and they did not blink an eye. Also, Our adopted legislators love staying here as well. Thanks
This was our second time staying here. George and Sherry(not sure on spelling) are more than accommodating and have made our stay so enjoyable both times. We love the rustic feel and cabin experience. Located on a beautiful property. We grilled out steaks and watched movies while hanging in the whirlpool tub. Perfect date night! Thank you so much! Looking forward to our next stay! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a nice weekend getaway!
