We left and drove towards our 1st destination from *** to the ***** area. As we were riding through heavy rain, we noticed that the tires adherence were not super and we got concerned about what would happen if aquaplaning would kick in. Hertz charged us $1000.00 more then what our total for the rental was supposed to be. We rented a vehicle through AAA which offered a discount through Hertz. Our total for the rental agreement was $813.93 and they ended up charging our credit card $1894.15. This company is a bunch of crooks. Tried speaking with customer service and get B.S. about they cant do anything and submit a claim and theyll get back to us. This has been going on for almost 2 months now and still dont get any response.
We rented a car from Hertz out of the Atlanta airport for three days, when we tried to extend the rental we couldn’t reach anyone at the Hertz airport franchise and the corporation couldn’t help us. What a joke! We are driving 2 1/2 hours back to the airport to try to extend our rental! How frustrating! I will not be using them again.
As a person with disabilities I often must make strategic efforts when planning my day. On 11-14-22 I called Hertz Rental on 7230 Youree drive Shreveport La 71105 and spoke to Micah the assistant manager. Not only was she clearly rude and dismissive, she hung up the phone and refused to answer upon multiple call backs. I then had to go to the location with out my oxygen. I had a rental through Hertz picked it up at the Hendersonville TN location and returned it when it was due at the same location. Hertz has been charging my card everyday as if I still have the rental. Come to find out the location is now permanently closed. Customer service has been terrible they all give you conflicting information say they will do one thing and don’t then I get another $100 charge. Hertz charged us for a smoking fee of $450. Neither my husband or I smoke, have ever smoked, or were around anyone who smokes. No one else rode in the car other than the Hertz employees who took the car after we turned it in. The car did not smell and we checked out with an employee at the ****** airport. Rented from Hertz in Denver. First vehicle had the check engine light come on before we left the lot. They had us take it to maintenance dept. second vehicle had the oil light come on 4 days into a six day vacation. Oil measured below minimum level. Do we call hertz and waste a day of vacation or put oil in the vehicle. Purchased a quart at a ridiculous price and got the vehicle back to denver(2hrs) without incident. Tire blew out. Hertz told us there was no spare associated with the car. Roadside assistance told us a tow was coming and 3 times it was canceled!!! They never called us and when we called back they insisted they had come and we were not there!!! They left 2 women at night in Albuquerque in a parking lot and never showed up!!! This is the third and final time I have rented from Hertz at the Phoenix airport. The first time I waited 2 1/2 hours in the garage for a car because they overbooked. The second time was May 105° and I waited in the garage for 3 1/2 hours as a Goldmember .
